KNF Neuberger is an international engineering and manufacturing organization, specializing in high quality pumps and compressors, with an excellent reputation in the medical device, research, and environmental industries.

We are looking to add an intermediate level Shipping Clerk to support the business, production, and cultural goals of the company and of the Logistics team. We would also consider an entry level candidate with good computer skills and the ability to learn.

In this role, the Shipping Clerk is responsible for (but not limited to) preparing, picking, and packing items for shipment, handling finished good materials, and loading/unloading trucks.

Responsibilities:

  • Packing orders using a foam-in-place packing machine.
  • Verifying items for outgoing shipments against bills of lading, orders or other records.
  • Adhering to customer cycle times by ensuring products are shipped and received per transportation schedules.
  • Use a computerized system (SAP) for labeling, processing freight charges, carrier information, downloading shipment logs to carrier, and tracking shipments.
  • Maintaining inventory of finished good materials and supplies.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required with at least 1 year of related work experience and/or training.
  • Must have proficient basic mathematical skills, and the ability to understand and perform work with units of the American weight measurement and metric system.
  • Exhibit high attention to detail and exercise sound judgment in decisions.
  • SAP experience a plus
  • Clerical, word, processing, and/or office skills

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel or crouch, and talk or hear. The employee is also regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects/tools and reach with hands and arms.

The employee must regularly lift and move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
