KNF Neuberger, Inc. is an international engineering and manufacturing organization, specializing in high quality pumps and compressors, with an excellent reputation in the medical device, research and environmental industries.
This Trenton (Hamilton, NJ) based position will support our business, manufacturing and cultural goals of the company and of the Assembly team while reporting to the Assembly Supervisor.
This position will assemble products, such as pumps and compressors, partially or completely, using blue prints, working at a bench, workstation, test booth or on the shop floor, to meet product specifications and schedules. This position will also be responsible for trouble-shooting on the assembly line or in a test booth. This position will work under the guidance of more experienced assembly personnel.
Essential functions include:

- Assembles sub-assemblies and complete pumps as per drawings, work instructions, and verbal instructions
- Operates mechanical presses, automatic tube and wire cutting machines, and semi-automatic wire crimping and assembly machines to create sub-assemblies and final assemblies
- Operates various mechanical hand tools and fixtures to assemble products
- Performs manual gluing operations
- Operates electrically and pneumatically driven screwdrivers to install fasteners
- Produces high quality products consistently in a manual assembly environment
- Performs operations in an efficient manner by completing assigned tasks within assigned time allocation and schedule constraints. Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency
- Tests sub-assemblies and finished products using pneumatic gauges, flow meters, and associated fitting hardware while applying AC or DC power
- Performs occasional maintenance work including maintaining work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Maintains an organized and efficient work area using 5S practices
- Paints finished pumps and/or pump components as required
- Follows all applicable safety procedures and processes
- Acts as a team player in a dynamic manufacturing environment
To qualify for this position, the ideal candidate will possess these skills and experiences:
- Ability to read and understand drawings is a plus
- Takes initiative, and works well in a team environment
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- Mechanical aptitude a plus

Full-time hours are generally 6:00am - 2:30pm or 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday
Occasional overtime work is required during busy times of the year and as production cycles require.
Physical Demands: Ability to work on and lift pumps that weigh around 20 pounds.
